Why owners choose Meadow

Most bookkeepers hand over a report and call it done. Meadow explains it.

You get timely, useful financials plus a breakdown of what they say about your business, so you can make empowered decisions instead of guessing.

  1. i.

    My approach

Accurate financials, yes. And someone watching the bigger picture all year: tax implications, compliance, how a decision might play out, what the numbers suggest about operations.

  2. ii.

    The full picture

Bookkeeping is the foundation, never the whole story. Accounting and tax perspective come into every relationship, because clean books only help if you know what to do with them.

  3. iii.

    Client experience

Smooth onboarding, consistent communication, and context with everything delivered. No report dropped in your inbox with no explanation, and no chasing for answers.

“If it’s worth mentioning, I mention it.”

Meet your accountant

Hi, I’m Alyssa.

Becoming a mom gave me the chance to focus on my passion project while raising our baby boy. So I created Meadow Accounting & Advisory, a practice centered on a holistic approach to accounting and on empowering the small business owners I work with.

I bring more to the table than categorizing transactions and handing over a report. My goal is to make sure you actually understand your numbers and feel confident in the decisions you’re making for your business.

How much does bookkeeping with Meadow cost?

Prices are published up front. The Meadow Foundation setup is a $500 investment. Monthly or Quarterly Financials start at $300 per month or $650 per quarter. A Diagnostic Review is $400 and is partially credited toward your final invoice. Cleanup & Catchup is quoted after the Diagnostic. For a quick ballpark, try the Bookkeeping Fee Estimate tool.

Do I need a Diagnostic Review before cleanup work?

Yes. The Diagnostic Review is required for any cleanup work and is often the first step for new clients. You get an assessment of your setup, a list of gaps and problem areas, a plain-language written report, and a prioritized action list, plus a customized cleanup quote.

Do you work in QuickBooks Online or Xero?

Both. Alyssa is a QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor and a Xero Partner, and the Meadow Foundation includes setup guidance and company file configuration in either platform.

Do you prepare tax returns?

Yes. Meadow offers tax preparation and planning for individuals and small business owners, and is now accepting clients for 2026 returns.

Should my business become an S-corp?

Maybe. If your business is generating enough profit that an S-corp election might make sense, the numbers need to be run first. Meadow helps you understand what a conversion means for your taxes, whether the timing is right, and what comes after the election.

What happens on the free consultation?

It is a chance to make sure we are a good fit for each other. You can ask questions, get a feel for how Alyssa works, and share your goals before anything begins.

What makes Meadow different from a typical bookkeeper?

Clean books are only the starting point. Every set of financials comes with a plain-language recap and key observations, and Alyssa brings accounting and tax perspective from her CPA-firm background into every client relationship. If it is worth mentioning, she mentions it. Clientele is kept limited on purpose.

How quickly will I hear back?

Messages sent through the contact form get a reply within one to two business days, and ongoing clients have email support with responsive communication.
